Gundog Classes for all levels.

I run a number of gundog classes to suit all levels. Whether you want to complete in Working Tests, Field Trials or just what to do some gundog training with your pet dog, then I can help you. 

The methods I use are reward based, helping you and your dog learn in a non-aversive environment. 

All gundog classes are run in Selborne, Hampshire. 

Gundogs

Its important to me that a dog learns its skills in a calm and rewarding environment. That also applies when training a dog for working in the field. I offer a variety of classes for your gundog from beginner through to preparing your dog for working tests or picking up during the shooting season. I also offer 1-2-1 lessons for improving your handling skills or problem solve key areas of concern. 

All methods used are kind, positive reward based.  Clicker sessions can be arranged. No aversive methods are used in any class. Looking for solutions that will benefit both dog and handler.

Classes

All classes are a maximum of 6 people. 

Beginner/Fun Gundogs

These classes are for those that already have some basic skills and would like to progress. All methods used are force free and fun for both you and your dog. 

Thursday - 8.30am.

Sunday - 8.30am

Pre-competition 

This class is for those that want to go into competition. All basics are covered along with handling skills and preparing to go into your first working test.

Puppy Gundogs

This class is for those puppies that have completed thier puppy training and would like to eventually train their puppies to become gundogs. This class is designed to cover the foundations. All reward based and enjoyable for both dog and handler. 

Monday - 11am (Droxford)

Introduction to Gundogs

This class is for the that want to learn some gundogs skills or to start their older dogs off. In this class you and your dog will learn about the life of a gundog and all the foundations that are needed

Thursday - 2.30pm

Good novice/open Gundog groups

This group is for those dogs that have already started their competing career and would like to improve their handling skills with their dog,

Sundays - 12.30pm (Selborne)

New Forest Days

I have permission to train on the wonderful grounds of the New Forest. this area offers a wide variety of oppotunities for both dogs and handlers. Small groups and 1-2-1 sessions available.

Novice Days Out, Holidays and Workshops

I run days away, holidays and workshops. If you have some ground available I am also available for private groups
